Stolen petroleum seized in Rivers State

Over the last two months 20 trucks full of stolen products were seized.

TVC News Nigeria gives us a report on almost a million liters of fuel seized by security forces.

The Rivers State Police has intercepted almost one million liters of stolen petroleum products in the last two months. A task force set up by the Inspector General of police made the seizures in separate sting operations. The task force, which is made up of personnel from the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of Petroleum Resources, and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps, has been working to halt the theft and sale of stolen petroleum products in the state. The products were seized from tankers and trucks that were carrying the products without the necessary documentation or permits. The task force has also arrested several suspects in connection with the thefts.
