The Trinity Spirit, the oil production vessel (FPSO) exploded in Nigeria. The cause of the explosion is still under investigation, this explosion is just the latest in a series of accidents that have occurred in Nigeria’s oil industry. In May 2019, an oil pipeline exploded in the Niger Delta, and in April 2019, a tanker truck carrying fuel crashed and caught fire. These accidents have caused widespread damage and loss of life, and they have also raised concerns about the safety of Nigeria’s oil industry.
