Steph Curry wins Clutch player of the year over SGA and DeRozan.

Golden State Warriors star, Steph Curry has emerged the winner of the 2023/24 Clutch player of the year for his consistent output in crunch time all through the season. With 298 total votes, he narrowly edged Chicago Bulls’ player, DeMar DeRozan who had 272 votes and Oklahoma City Thunder’s star, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with 160 votes. The Warriors went 23-20 in 43 clutch games this season with Steph Curry accruing 186 points on a 49.6% shooting from the field and 45.7% shooting from behind the arc in 142.9 clutch minutes.


Paolo Banchero leads Orlando Magic to first home playoff win since 2011.

The Orlando Magic enjoyed great efficiency in a blowout win against the Cleveland Cavaliers to their first playoff home win since 2011. The 2022 1st overall draft pick, Paolo Banchero came up big with 31 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists on 50% field goal shooting to cut the tie to 2-1. Despite failing to score in the first three minutes of the game, the Magic were able to gain control, leading by as much as 43 points.


Arne Slot reportedly signs a pre-contract to be Liverpool’s next manager.

Liverpool have been in contact with some managers ahead of Klopp’s inevitable departure. Amongst the numerous candidates to take over, it seems Feyenoord’s coach, Arne Slot has emerged Liverpool’s choice. New information is however indicating that Slot has already signed a pre-contract agreement with the Merseyside club to take over as manager from next season after discussions with the club’ director, Michael Edwards. Slot has informed Liverpool’s board that his goal will be winning the league.


Lakers lose 11th straight game to the Nuggets as they go 3-0 in this series.

The Los Angeles Lakers are on the brink of another first round elimination after going 3-0 down against Denver Nuggets. Just as in the first and second games, the Lakers started with great confidence, taking a 10 point lead in the first quarter and holding the Nuggets to only 39.1% shooting. Cutting the lead to four in the second quarter, the Lakers crashed out in the third quarter, letting the Nuggets take a 12 point lead which eventually led to a 112-105 Nuggets win. This is the 11th straight win for Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets against LA Lakers.


Phil Foden’s incredible form continues as Manchester City defeats Brighton 4-0.

Manchester City are edging towards a fourth consecutive Premier League title, all thanks to Phil Foden’s brilliant performances. Pep Guardiola’s men moved back to second after an incredible 4-0 win against Brighton on Thursday night. Goals from Kevin De Bruyne, Julián Àlvarez and a Phil Foden brace was enough to secure an important victory at the Falmer Stadium. Foden has now scored 24 goals, providing 10 assists in all competitions, making up his most prolific season.
