AIDO’s 6th convention to be held in Lagos

Slated for November 4-9, the 6th annual International Convention and Royal Summit by the Africa International Development Organizations (AIDO) Network is set to take place in Lagos. AIDO is a non-profit organization driven by knowledge and dedicated to development with no political affiliations. In anticipation of the event, executives from the London headquarters of the organization have arranged a trip to Lagos State to meet with government officials, local leaders, and other key players in the state where the event is set to occur.

In November, the event will bring together African descendants who have been separated from their homeland, including those who have never been to Africa. The goal of the event is to unite individuals from various industries such as business, culture, agriculture, education, sports, and faith to address human rights violations and advocate for unity, growth, and societal transformation. At the same time as this event, a group of investors from the commonwealth is coming to Nigeria.

This group of investors will attend the summit and showcase their business ideas, aiming to capitalize on the opportunities available in the country. The summit will attract individuals of African descent living outside of Africa, as well as government officials from African countries and all nations in the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), such as Antigua and Barbuda, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, the Grenadines, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Montserrat, Nevis, Saint Kitts and Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent, Suriname, and Trinidad and Tobago.

Additionally, various important stakeholders will be in attendance. During her address at the convention, Princess Afoma Ojei-Adigwe, the AIDO Nigeria Country Representative, emphasized the significance of showcasing Nigeria’s cultural diversity, economic opportunities, and role in the Pan-African movement. She also highlighted the importance of discussing critical issues like Human Rights violations and fostering economic growth. The AIDO 6th International Convention and Royal Summit aims to strengthen ties and promote growth within the African community, both locally and internationally.

Driving economic development and abundance across Africa.

Through cultural exchange, Pan-African ideals, and economic initiatives, this summit will facilitate positive development and societal transformation. Following the successful 5th summit in Kenya, Lagos has been selected as the host city for this year’s global gathering of the African Diaspora. The goal of the event is to harness the power of culture to bring about positive transformation in Africa. The main focus of the AIDO convention is to drive economic development and abundance throughout the continent.

It also has a goal of highlighting the importance of investing in key industries, preserving cultural heritage, and rejuvenating traditional governance systems. Adigwe mentioned that AIDO is dedicated to upholding ethical standards and moral values, aiming to create a peaceful, secure, and sustainable environment. Prince Bimbo Roberts Folayan, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Nigeria’s AIDO, as well as the leader of Business and Investments and a member of the Advisory Board of the international organization, emphasized the upcoming convention’s focus.

During his visit, His Royal Highness Papa Paul Eganda, the first, President of AIDO International, will be taking advantage of the occasion to officially inaugurate the Africa International Development Organisations (AIDO) Nigeria’s office in Lagos.
