Jose Mourinho parts ways with AS Roma with immediate effect.
Serie A giant, AS Roma have sacked Jose Mourinho with immediate effect. The club presently sits ninth in the league table, twenty-two points behind league leaders, Inter Milan. This comes after Roma’s 3-1 loss to AC Milan on Sunday, with the club winning just one of their last six games. Mourinho has been suspended for eight of the league’s twenty games this season and had to watch Sunday’s loss from the stands. Despite winning the club’s first European trophy in 2022 and taking them to the Europa League finals last season, the club owners believe that an immediate change would be most effective for the club.
