Manchester United activate break clause for Sergio Reguilon.

Sergio Reguilon has been signed by Manchester United on a season-long loan towards the summer transfer deadline after the club’s left-back options— Like Shaw and Tyrell Malacia both major suffered injuries at the start of the season. However, a break clause to send him back to Tottenham in January if necessary was included in the loan agreement. With Luke Shaw’s return and Malacia nearing complete fitness, the club has finally decided to activate this break clause. Playing 12 games for United across all competitions, the Spaniard will return to Tottenham as he continues to seek more playing chances.


Jadon Sancho nearing potential loan transfer back to Borussia Dortmund.

Sancho has been absent from Manchester United’s squad since September, after responding to Erik ten Hag’s criticism about his lack of hard work in training. Efforts to reconcile both parties has been futile and the English forward looks set to leave the club. Former club, Borussia Dortmund have registered their interest to sign him on loan and new reports have indicated that Sancho is ready to travel to BVB’s training camp, with final details being discussed with Manchester United. The loan deal will include a fee around €4 million, salary coverage and an option to sign the winger at the end of the season.


Shaquille O’Neal will become first Orlando Magic player with jersey retired.

In commemoration of their 35th anniversary, the Orlando Magic has announced that it would retire the number 32 on February 13, honoring NBA Hall of Famer, Shaquille O’Neil. Selected as the first pick in the 1992 NBA Draft, Shaq spent four years with the Magic, averaging 27.2 points and 12.5 rebounds per game, whilst also spearheading the team to the 1995 NBA finals. Orlando Magic CEO, Alex Martins said had high praises for Shaq, stating that he took the franchise to new heights on and off the court. He will become the first player from Orlando Magic’s history to have his jersey retired.


SuperSport announces that 2023 AFCON will not be broadcasted on its channel.

Acclaimed sport channel, SuperSport has announced that it will not be broadcasting the upcoming AFCON 2023 which is scheduled for January 13th-February 14th in Ivory Coast, losing the broadcasting bid to a Togo-based channel. Observations have pointed to SuperSport’s lack of enthusiasm for airing African competitions lately, the latest being the recently launched African Football League. This news has caused huge uproar on social media, with Africans hammering on the continent’s continued deterioration. This is the first time that this has happened since 1992.


Giannis and Wembanyama match up in interesting Milwaukee Bucks win.

One of the most anticipated match-ups in the NBA saw two time MVP, Giannis Antetokounmpo and rookie, Victor Wembanyama show out as the Milwaukee Bucks defeated San Antonio Spurs 125-121. Giannis recorded 44 points,14 rebounds and 7 assists, while Wembanyama matched his energy with 27 points, 9 rebounds and 5 blocks, including a huge block over Giannis. While Giannis is arguably the face of the NBA right now, Wembanyama is being tipped to have a similar success as Giannis’. The Bucks remain second seed in the Eastern conference with 25 im wins and 10 losses.
