Liverpool further plunges title hopes as they lose the Merseyside Derby.

With each passing game, the title continues to stray further away from Liverpool. After a disappointing 1-0 loss to Crystal Palace last weekend, Jürgen Klopp’s men failed to bounce back as they suffered another terrific defeat to Everton at Anfield Stadium. Jarrad Branthwaite opened the scoring in the 27th minute after an error from Liverpool’s defenders before Dominic Calvert-Lewin put the final nail in the coffin in the 58th minute. With this win, Everton ends their run of 23 visits to Anfield without a win since 1999. Liverpool are now 3 points below Arsenal and might find themselves 5 points below Manchester City, should they win their two outstanding games.
