It has been reported that a group of over 20 bandits have kidnapped a traditional ruler in Plateau State, His Royal Highness, Aminu Derwan. The bandits reportedly attacked his palace in Panyam, Mangu Local Government Area of the state. This is not the first time that traditional rulers in the Plateau State have been targeted by bandits; in fact, there have been a number of such kidnappings and attacks in recent years. This latest incident highlights the need for increased security measures to protect traditional rulers and other vulnerable targets in the state.
