The Federal High Court in Abeokuta has nullified all primaries conducted by the various factions of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ogun State. This means that none of the candidates who ran in the primaries will be considered valid candidates for the upcoming election. This ruling was made in response to a lawsuit filed by a group of party members who claimed that the primaries were conducted illegally and did not follow the party’s rules and regulations. The court agreed with the plaintiffs and ruled that the primaries were invalid. This ruling is a major setback for the Peoples Democratic Party in Ogun State, as they will now have to start the process of selecting candidates all over again.
