Luka Doncic becomes the youngest NBA scoring champ in 12 years.

The Dallas Mavericks’ star, Luka Doncic have had one of the best regular seasons in the history of the NBA. The star point guard averaged 33.9 points, 9.2 rebounds and 9.8 assists in the regular season, while also leading the Dallas Mavericks to a fifth place finish in the Western conference. This places him as one of the front runners for the 2024 MVP award. Ending the season with 33.9 points, Doncic who turned 25 in February becomes the youngest scoring champion since Kevin Durant won the award during the 2011/2012 season at 23 years old, where he averaged 28.0 points per game.


Manchester United is pushing to extend Kobbie Mainoo’s contract this summer.

Young midfielder, Kobbie Mainoo has been a revelation in Manchester United’s midfield since breaking into the first team. His exceptionalism earned him his first international call-up and start in March with major hopes of him being included in England’s Euro 2024 squad. With many big European clubs interested in luring him away from the Theatre of Dreams, Manchester United is pushing to extend the youngster’s contract this summer. The INEOS are contented with Mainoo’s display so far and are willing to make him the face of the new project at the club. This new deal will see him earn a massive salary increase and bonuses.


Atletico Madrid qualifies for 2025 Club World Cup as Barcelona misses out.

Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid are the 22nd club to qualify for the new FIFA Club World Cup edition which is set to commence next year in the United States. Despite losing on aggregate to Borussia Dortmund and crashing out of the Champions League quarter finals, Barcelona’s loss to PSG means that Atletico qualifies due after being higher than the Catalan side in club rankings. Atletico Madrid will join Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Porto, Benfica and Juventus. The competition will be played every four years and will include 32 teams in eight groups of four with only the top two teams in each group qualifying to the next round.


Golden State Warriors will miss out on the 2024 NBA playoffs.

The NBA season has officially come to an end after The Warriors’ 118-94 loss to the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday’s Western Conference Play-in tournament. The Warriors struggled on both offensive and defensive ends, Klay Thompson most notable for not scoring a single point in the game. This loss will keep the Warriors out of the playoffs for the third time in the last five years, including two Play-in eliminations. Fans believe this to be the end of an era in the franchise with Klay Thompson now being a free agent.


Documentary trailer for Manchester United’s treble-winning season released.

Manchester United’s 1999 treble winning team have been touted as perhaps the best team in the history of English football. The team went on an historic run, winning the Champions League, Premier league and FA Cup titles in the same season. Amazon Prime is however set to release a documentary to chronicle the historic 1999 treble-winning Manchester United team. The documentary which will be in three parts, telling on and off the pitch stories of the team and will feature players like Paul Scholes, Gary Neville, David Beckham, Dwight York and Ole Gunner Solksjaer. The released trailer also features interviews from Sir Alex Ferguson and assistant manager, Steve McClaren.
