The prestigious Premier League Hall of Fame honours the distinguished players who have attained significant success in the league. Selected from a 15 man shortlist, Manchester United and Chelsea legends, Andy Cole and John Terry are the latest to join the list of inducted players, becoming the 23rd and 24th inductees. Andy Cole played for seven different PL clubs but was most notable for his 5 years in Manchester United where he won 5 Premier League titles. The prolific striker scored 187 PL goals and remains the 4th highest scorer in the league’s history. John Terry spent his 19-year career stint at Chelsea, leading the team to 5 league titles, 5 FA Cups and 3 league cups.

Inter Milan clinches 20th Serie A title after 2-1 win over AC Milan.
Serie A giant, Inter Milan secured their 20th league title in an iconic fashion, defeating archrival, AC Milan at the San Siro Stadium to confirm the title. Despite a late goal from AC Milan defender, Fikayo Tomori, Francesco Acerbi’s 18th-minute header and Marcus Tharum’s beautiful second half finish were enough to give Simone Inzaghi’s men a 17 point lead over their second-placed rival, securing the league title with five games to spare. The stoppage time saw a typical Milan derby, as a break-out scuffle led to Dumfries and Theo Hernandez being sent off. Minutes later, AC Milan were down to 9 men after Calabria also got sent off for violent conduct.

According to sources in the NBA, the Charlotte Hornets are widening their nets in search of a replacement for former coach, Steve Clifford who stepped down at the end of the regular season. The latest rumours are pointing to the Hornets interviewing JJ Redick for the franchise’ head coach role. Redick, after his 15-year NBA career, has showcased immense knowledge about the technicalities of the sport, serving as an NBA analyst on ESPN, as well as his newly produced basketball podcast with Lebron James. Other interviewed options include G League’s Stockton King’s coach, Lindsey Harding, Boston Celtics’ assistant coach, Charles Lee and former Milwaukee Bucks coach, Mike Budenholzer.

Unai Emery extends his contract with Aston Villa until 2027.
Head coach, Unai Emery has committed his future to Aston Villa, signing a new contract extension with the club which is valid until 2027. The ex-Arsenal manager has been phenomenal since taking over in October 2022. Presently in the semi-final of the UEFA Europa Conference League, Aston Villa are set to lock down a UEFA Champions League qualification spot this season, a huge indication of the great progress that the club has experienced since his appointment.
