Richard Hughes set to depart from Bournemouth at the end of the season.

Bournemouth has confirmed that Technical Director, Richard Hughes has decided to leave his position at the end of the season. With strong links with big European clubs like Liverpool, Newcastle United and some Italian clubs in talks with him, it is certain that Hughes is leaving to pursue a new challenge. The club has in an official statement, acknowledged Hughes for his outstanding contribution to the club’s development. Former club captain, Simon Francis will take over as the new technical director next summer.

Chelsea legend, Petr Cech’s life changed in 2006 after being involved in a collision that left him with a depressed skull in a Premier League fixture against newly-promoted side, Reading F.C. As a result, two metal plates were fixed in his skull and had to wear a protective helmet all through his career. For most of the period, fans continued to question whether he needed to keep using the helmet and in a new interview in the Obi One Podcast, the legendary goalkeeper revealed that he had two concussions while playing with a helmet, showing the severity of the injury and how important the helmet was to his career and life.

Former coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer disclosed that Bellingham visited the club with Sir Alex Ferguson present but could not wrap up the deal because Bellingham’s camp were were demanding a number of playing time which the club was refusing to offer.

Mbappe and Kane inspired their teams to a much-needed qualification to the quarter finals, both players scoring a brace. They have now surpassed Højlund as the joint scorer of the tournament with six goals each. With the competition becoming fiercer, it would be increasingly interesting to see who wins the highest goal scorer award.

César Azpilicueta set to extend his contract with Atlético Madrid.

Former Chelsea and Spain full back, César Azpilicueta moved to La Liga side, Atlético Madrid after eleven years with the London club. Since moving to Atletico last summer, he has not been able to secure a starting position, playing only twenty-two games for the club. With his contract set to expire, the defender has been offered a new one year contract until 2025. Atletico Madrid’s board are convinced that César will be a good second option for the team down the stretch and want him to stay for one more year.
