Jonathan Majors sentenced to one year of domestic violence counselling.

Hollywood star, Jonathan Majors was found guilty on two counts of reckless assault in the third degree and a one count harassment charge against his former girlfriend, Grace Jabbari last year. The actor, popular for his roles in “Creed III” and “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania”, was facing up to a year in jail after his conviction. However, Majors will avoid jail time and has instead been sentenced to a year of domestic violence counselling. Speaking to the press after the verdict, Majors maintained that he was innocent of the charges.

Ruger and BNXN announce collaborative project to be released on Friday.

Afrobeats’ new school stars, Rugar and BNXN look to have repaired their last year’s social media beef and are now teaming up to release a joint project on April 12. The project, titled “RNB” will feature both of their singles, “RMD” and the newly released “POE”. In Spotify’s newly published top 100 greatest RnB songs of the streaming era, five African stars have been recognized. Tems lead the pack with three songs including “Free Mind” and “Higher”. Wizkid’s “Essence” featuring Tems and “Call Me Everyday” with Chris Brown were also recognized. Tyla’s “Water”, Libianca’s “People” and Oxlade’s “Ku Lo Sa” were also included on the acclaimed chart.

Shallipopi announces release date for his sophomore studio album.

Upon the success of his debut album which was released barely six months ago, breakthrough Nigerian rapper, Shallipopi has announced that his second studio album will be released on April 12, 2024. The album is titled “Shakespopi”, where he alludes William Shakespeare as the lyrical inspiration for the project. He made this announcement with a video depicting an old English setting. Like his first album, we are to expect a huge showcase of catchy pidgin rap, beautiful cadence, all infused in the Benin heritage. With studio photos of him and the likes of Wizkid, Burna Boy and Rema, fans are predicting that the album will contain features with these big names.

Yeat announces two new albums to be released later this year.

American rapper, Yeat is set to drop two new albums later this year. The rapper had earlier released his fourth studio album, “2093” earlier in February, debuting at number two on the Billboard top 200 albums chart. In a new social media post, Yeat announced that his two new albums, “Lyfestyle” and “A Dangerous Lyfe” will both be released later this year. On his Instagram story, he stated that he would be releasing two new albums, “just to show who do what.”
