Rihanna to write and record original songs for the “Smurfs”.

After many years since the release of “Anti”, Rihanna has released very few new songs and while the world continues to wait for the promised “R9” album, the global pop star has been heavily growing her Fenty Beauty brand. Rumours of her involvement in upcoming movie, “The Smurfs” looks to be confirmed. Replacing Katy Perry as the voice of Smurfette, sources have confirmed that she will be writing and recording original songs for the upcoming movie soundtrack. While it is not the official Rihanna album, fans are still happy to experience new music from her.

Bobrisky sentenced to six months imprisonment for Naira mutilation.

Nigerian socialite, Bobrisky has just been found guilty of abusing and mutilating the country’s currency and has been sentenced to six months imprisonment. The popular social media personality plead guilty to this crime, claiming ignorance about the laws against mutilating the Naira and promising the court to further sensitize Nigerians on the subject. The court however ruled a prison sentence, with no option for a fine. This has caused major uproar among Nigerians who believe Bobrisky to be a targeted victim by the court’s exclusion of the option to pay a fine as registered in the constitution.

O.J Simpson confirmed dead at 76 years-old after battle with cancer.

Former NFL star, O.J Simpson has been confirmed dead after a battle with prostrate cancer. In an official statement released via his social media pages, his family confirmed this news while asking the general public to respect their wishes for privacy and grace. O.J Simpson was most known for the murder case of his former wife, Nicole Brown and her friend in a trial that caught all of America’s attention. He was sentenced to 33 years in prison for an unrelated robbery charge in 2008 and was released in 2017.

Tunde Onakoya to break World record for Longest Chess Marathon.

Nigerian Chess master and coach rose to fame in 2021 for organizing platforms for children across slums in Lagos, helping these children find their potentials through the game of Chess and helping them acquire basic skills like reading and writing. He is now attempting to break the Guinness World for the longest Chess marathon without losing a game in 58 hours. This will be held in New York on April 17th, 2024.
