Wizkid’s “Mood” with BNXN now eligible for a RIAA gold certification.

Wizkid’s acclaimed album, “Made in Lagos” continues to create records globally with certifications to show for it. The album, housing global records like “Essence” and “Ginger”, became Nigeria’s first album to sell over 500,000 units in the United States. After “Essence” which is now 4x platinum, “Mood” which features BNXN is the second record to receive a RIAA Gold certification off the album, for selling over 500,000 units in the United States. 17 out of the 18 songs on the album have also reportedly sold over 100,000 units. This is Wizkid’s seventh certification and BNXN’s first in the region.

Tiwa Savage shares insight on her upcoming movie, “Water and Garri”.

The dubbed African Bad Gal is set to make her movie and directorial debut in her upcoming movie, “Water and Garri”. The movie which is produced by Jimi Adesanya is set to premiere on May 10 via Prime Video. The movie focuses on Tiwa’s life story as a budding fashion designer in the United States who finds her way back to Nigeria and grows into a superstar artist. Speaking to ABC News on the upcoming movie, Tiwa Savage disclosed that the movie is a chronicle of love and female empowerment.

The Nollywood industry was shattered after news of young actor, Jnr. Pope Odonwodo’s demise. The 24 year old actor drowned in the River Niger, along with four other film production members last Wednesday, leaving behind three daughters and a wife. Adin Ross officially announces his retirement from streaming.

Popular American online streamer, Adin Ross has announced his decision to officially quit streaming. Known for his collaborations with American celebrities and playing NBA 2k & GTA Theft Auto, Adin became perhaps the biggest streamer, signing a record deal with streaming service, “Twitch”. He has now taken to his social media to announce his retirement from streaming.
