Luton set a huge tone early in entertaining 4-0 win over Brighton, scoring two goals from Nigerian duo, Elijah Adebayo and Chiedozie Ogbene in the opening five minutes of the game to make Luton the quickest PL team to go two up since Leicester City in 1998. Adebayo continued to harass Brighton, beautifully converting Ross Barkley’ pass in the 42nd minute and heading home his third in the 56th minute, becoming the first Luton’s first ever hat trick in the Premier League history.

Mali beats Burkina Faso to proceed to AFCON 2023 quarter final.
In a hugely competitive game, Mali defeats the stallions of Burkina Faso 2-1 on Tuesday evening to secure a spot in the last eight of the AFCON 2023 tournament. An own goal from Burkina Faso defender, Edmond Tapsoba gave Mali an early lead in the third minute of the match and Lassine Sinayoko scored his third of the tournament to give Mali an extensive lead early in the second half. Ten minutes later, Bertrand Traoré converted from the penalty spot, with the hope of spearheading a comeback. Despite the piled pressure, Mali was able to hold on to the one goal lead and secure their quarter final spot, where they will face host country, Ivory Coast on February 3.
South Africa crashes Morocco out of AFCON in surprise 2-0 win.
South Africa have booked the last spot of the AFCON 2023 quarter final, defeating Morocco 2-0. Coming off a big World Cup campaign, Morocco was one the biggest favourites projected to clinch the 2023 AFCON but the Bafana Bafana showed great intent to win the game right from the start. Midfielder, Themba Zwane opened the scoring for South Africa in the 57th minute calmly slotting the ball past Yassine Bounou. Achraf Hakimi wasted a opportunity to bring the game level, missing a crucial penalty. Mokoena however put an end to Morocco’s search for a hope, scoring a sensational free kick in the 90th minute of the game. South Africa will now face Carpe Verde in the quarter final.
José Mourinho to reportedly make surprise move to Barcelona.
With Xavi’s imminent departure, reports are suggesting that José Mourinho’s agent has offered him to Barcelona and could make a surprise move to the LaLiga giant in the summer. Mourinho worked at Barcelona as a part of the coaching staff from 1996 to 2000 before moving to Porto where he won his first Champions League trophy. Known as a serial winner and one of the greatest managers of all times, Mourinho might in fact be the man to lead Barcelona back to its glory days.
