Stories on Zielinski, Jesse Lingard, Bayer Leverkusen, Guirassy and Tobi Amusan.

Inter Milan open contract talks with Napoli star, Piotr Zieliński.

Emerging reports from Italy have suggested that Napoli midfielder, Piotr Zielinski is set to join rival club, Inter Milan after his contract with the Naples side expires in the summer. Despite talks for a contract extension, Napoli failed to find an agreement with Zielinski’s camp and with Inter looking to boost its midfield depth, this looks like the best possible option for both parties. The 29 years old will now commit his future with Inter Milan, signing a three year contract with the option for an additional year.

Jesse Lingard completed first medical part ahead of South Korea move.

Former Manchester United attacker, Jesse Lingard is now steps away from joining South Korea side, FC Seoul. The England international has been a free agent and without a club since leaving Nottingham Forest in the summer and also sacked his agents, which included members of his family a month ago after failing to secure a move. This new move to South Korea offers him a much-needed fresh start in a new country. He will sign a two year contract with the option to extend for another year.

Bayer Leverkusen on the verge of breaking Bayern Munich’s all-time record.

The Xabi Alonso-led Bayer Leverkusen team has been one of the most formidable football teams across Europe this season. Their ability to play out, create chances and score goals have put them as perhaps the most in-form European team this season. After their hard fought 3-2 win against VfB Stuttgart in the DFB-Pokal Cup, Leverkusen have now extended their unbeaten run to 30 straight games in all competition. They will have a chance to equal Bayern Munich’s unbeaten record if the streak extends to their next two games, one of which will be Bayern Munich later this weekend.

Serhou Guirassy’s €17.5 million release clause to remain valid next summer.

VfB Stuttgart’s striker, Serhou Guirassy is having a phenomenal season with great goal scoring output. With 17 league goals already this season and only second to Harry Kane, his performances have put a host of teams across Europe on alert and reports suggest that Stuttgart will be willing to cash in on him. Despite his release clause being set at €17.5 million, possibilities of him leaving in the January transfer did not actualize and as such, Stuttgart has decided to leave his release clause valid with hopes that big teams will be looking to add the 1.87m tall striker to their attacking options.

Tobi Amusan clocks 7.75 seconds, setting a new 60m hurdle record.

Nigerian sprinter, Tobi Amusan has continued her impressive form, breaking new records with every race. After the record breaking race at the Astana Indoor Meet in January, where she surpassed Glory Alozie’s record, Tobi has just set a new 7.75 seconds African women’s indoor record in the 60 meters hurdle at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix, Boston. Despite this record breaking race however, she came second, behind America’s Tia Jones who finished within 7.72 seconds.
