After a heartbreaking AFCON 2023 final loss, the Nigeria Football Federation decided to part ways with José Peseiro, appointing Finidi George as an interim coach. According to new reports, the NFF has decided to appoint Emmanuel Amunike as the new head coach of the Super Eagles. The former Sporting Lisbon forward was prosperous as Nigeria’s under-17 coach, leading the Golden Eaglets to victory in the 2015 Under-17 World Cup. He went on to coach the Tanzanian National team, helping them qualify for their first AFCON in 2019, the first time in forty years. Ryan Garcia shocks the world in a surprising win against Devin Haney.

American professional boxer, Ryan Garcia delivered one of the most surprising wins on Saturday night, handing Davin Haney the first defeat of his professional career. Garcia went into the fight as a 6-1 underdog and scored three knockdowns on the WBC Super Lightweight Champion in the 7th, 10th and 11th rounds to champion a dramatic upset. Nottingham Forest releases statement against VAR after Everton loss.

Relegation-threatened Nottingham Forest side has released an official statement, criticizing the integrity of the Premier League after a painful loss against Everton on Sunday afternoon. Despite goals from Idrissa Gueye and Dwight McNeil being enough to give Everton an important win, Forest felt that they were denied a hat trick of penalties in the match, claiming that Stuart Attwell, who was in charge of VAR, is a huge fan of relegation rival, Luton Town. In the statement, the club said, “Three extremely poor decisions – three penalties not given – which we simply cannot accept. We warned the PGMOL that the VAR is a Luton fan before the game but they didn’t change him…” The Premier League is yet to respond to this allegation.
