Premier League’s 5th place champions league qualification in jeopardy.
With the new “Swiss league” style for the coveted Champions League tournament set to be implemented from next season which will include 36 teams instead of the traditional 32, the Premier League could be on the verge of having five teams in the competition for the first time. However, these chances seem to be in jeopardy, due to the poor performances of Manchester United and Newcastle in the CL this season. Italy and Germany are in fact in a better probation as things stand to get the 5th place qualification and the six remaining English teams in Europe competitions will have to be more dominant to earn the PL the fifth place qualification.

Manchester United fans stunned at timeframe for Tyrell Malacia’s return.
Tyrell Malacia has not played a single minute for Manchester United this season, since he was ruled out at the start of the team’s pre-season, which stopped him from traveling to the US with the team. Surprisingly, United have failed to disclose the nature of the full back’s injury and ten Hag only compared it to the injuries sustained by Kobbie Mainoo and Amad Diallo, even though both players have made their respective returns months ago. With Luke Shaw now injured, new reports from the club have insisted that Malacia’s return has no specific time frame, as he is still in rehab.

Mo Salah potentially out of Sunday’s Carabao Cup final clash.
Over the last weeks, Liverpool have been riddled with critical injuries which could potentially affect their title race and cup chances. With the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Diogo Jota, Curtis Jones, Joël Matip injured, the club’s talisman, Mohamed Salah has also been reported to potentially miss Sunday’s Carabao Cup final clash against Chelsea. Salah sustained a tear in his Hamstring during an AFCON group stage game but returned to the pitch after two weeks, scoring and assisting in Liverpool’s 4-1 win over Burnley last weekend. Reports are however suggesting that the player will not be fit for the finals and this will definitely be a huge blow for Liverpool’s cup chances.
