Graham Potter’s potential move to Ajax gaining huge momentum.

Former Chelsea manager, Graham Potter is now in contention to become the next permanent manager of Eridivisie giant, AFC Ajax. After experiencing its worst start to a season in the club’s history, Maurice Steijn was sacked and John van’t Schip took over as the interim manager, leading the team from the relegation zone to 6th in the current league standing. The club has however been scouting for a new permanent coach ahead of next season and although many big names are being considered, reports from Amsterdam are suggesting that talks with Potter has been quite positive and the English manager might be keen on taking over as Ajax’s coach next season.


Athletic Bilbao beat Mallorca to win first Copa del Rey in forty years.

La Liga side, Athletic Bilbao ended their forty years Copa del Rey trophy drought on Saturday evening, beating Mallorca 4-2 on penalties after a thrilling 1-1 game which drew into extra time. Mallorca took the lead early in the 21st minute, all thanks to Dani Rodriguez’s goal. However, Oihan Sancet equalized for Bilbao minutes into the second half. There was no further goal in the half and the extra time. Athletic Bilbao however secured the win, converting all four of their penalties, while Mallorca lost two of their four kicks. Bilbao had lost all six of their previous Copa del Rey finals before finally clinching this one.


Kai Havertz speaks up on proving his critics wrong this season.

Despite a rough start, Arsenal forward, Kai Havertz has gradually adapted into Arsenal’s team, scoring important goals as Arsenal look to win their first league title in 20 years. With nine league goals already, the German has surpassed his best ever scoring premier league tally. Speaking to journalists after scoring in Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Brighton, the forward stated that proving haters wrong was always going to be a perk of the game. On the criticisms received, he noted that he is more interested in making himself and the people around him happy.

Young Portuguese star, João Félix has gradually regained his top form since moving to Barcelona on loan earlier this season. In spite of his loan move, Felix has openly admitted his desire to remain at Barcelona and the club’s president, Joan Laporta recently expressed their desire to keep the striker next season, with plans to discuss a new loan deal with Atletico Madrid. Enrique Cerezo, Atletico’s president has just disclosed that the club would be willing to negotiate another loan deal with Barcelona for Félix, giving an agreed amount of money is reached.


Manchester United punctures Liverpool’s title hopes after Old Trafford draw.

Liverpool has given away the Premier League lead to Arsenal after failing to secure a win against Manchester United at Old Trafford. After an early Rashford goal was ruled out for offside, Liverpool forward Luis Diaz gave Klopp’s side the lead in the 23rd minute but Bruno Fernandez capitalized on Quansah’s mistake, scoring a superb goal from outside the box 16 area for United’s equalizer. 17 minutes later, Kobbie Mainoo gave Manchester the lead with a beautiful curler from inside the box. United seemed to be leaving with a win but Salah’s well converted penalty off Wan-Bissaka’s foul on Elliot in 83rd minute was enough to secure a 2-2 draw for both sides. Liverpool has now moved to second, level on point with Arsenal but 8 goals below Arteta’s Arsenal.
