However, his second season in England has been plagued by an evident footballing decline and recurring injuries. Coco Gauff equals WTA 1000 record after reaching Italian Open quarterfinals.

Seven-time WTA champion, Coco Gauff came back from a set down to secure a 5-7, 6-4,6-1 win over former World’s number 2, Paula Badosa in the Italian Open. This marks her first quarter final appearance in the competition since 2021. With this victory, Gauff marks her 60th win at the WTA 1000 events, tying the legendary Caroline Wozniacki for the most wins before reaching 21 years-old. Gauff also won her 10th Italian Open match, she joins Chris Evert, Serena and Venus Williams as the fourth American to win as many matches in the tournament before the age of 21.


Watkins contributes again in Aston Villa’s comeback draw against Liverpool.

Raphaël Varane to leave Manchester United at the end of the season.

French defender, Raphaël Varane has bid farewell to Manchester United after 3 years with the Premier League giants. The 5-time Champions League winner moved to Old Trafford in 2021 €25 million and won the Carabao Cup with them. Despite being one of United’s high profile players, his career at the club has been marked by injuries. In the club’s statement, Man. United wrote, “Raphaël Varane has confirmed he will leave Manchester United in the summer, upon the expiration of his contract, following three seasons at Old Trafford.”


Robin Koch to make Germany’s Euro 2024 squad over Mats Hummels.
