Chelsea were on fire as they cruised past Everton to earn crucial three points in a resounding 6-0 victory on Monday evening. Cole Palmer was again the front runner, scoring four goals to inspire the team to a much needed win. The 21 year-old attacker opened the scoring in the 13th minute before completing his second Premier League hat trick inside the first thirty minutes of the game. Nicolas Jackson also got his deserved goal in the 44th minute with another Brilliant goal. Palmer got his fourth of the night fourteen minutes into the second half, perfectly converting a penalty that caused a ridiculous scene amongst Chelsea teammates. Academy talent, Alfie Gilchrist wrapped up the beautiful night with another goal 90th minute. This win puts Chelsea one point below West Ham who are presently eight on the league table.

Ahead of the upcoming 2024 Olympic games which is scheduled to be held in Paris, the USA basketball has already finalized its roster for the competition. According to reliable sources, some of the players in the roaster include Steph Curry, Jayson Tatum, Joel Embiid, Lebron James, Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, Tyrese Haliburton, Anthony Edwards, Jrue Holiday, Bam Adebayo and Anthony Davies. Further reports suggests that one spot is being kept open and with the options like Jalen Brunson, Damian Lillard and Donovan Mitchell open, it will be interesting to see who gets the open spot.

Caitlin Clark emerges as no.1 pick in the completed 2024 WNBA draft.
The much anticipated WNBA draft picks are now complete and as expected, Caitlin Clark emerged as the number one pick, selected by the Indiana Fever. After completing perhaps the greatest run in NCAA history, she will join last year’s first pick, Aaliyah Boston in helping the Fever return to postseason contention. The Los Angeles Sparks selected Stanford’s forward, Cameron Brink and Seattle Storm’s forward, Rickea Jackson. The Chicago Sky selected the reigning MOP, Kamilla Cardoso as the overall third pick and Angel Reese as the seventh pick. For the fifth pick, Dallas Wings picked Ohio State Guard, Jacy Sheldon and the Washington Mystics picked Aaliyah Edwards from UConn. With the set of stars entering the WNBA this season, the league is expected to enjoy more visibility and investments.

Bayer Leverkusen CEO confirms Florian Wirtz will remain at the club.
For the first time in the club’s history, Bayer Leverkusen have won the Bundesliga title but the most intriguing aspect is their unbeaten run across all competitions this season. The team are on a 43-game unbeaten run, winning 38 and drawing five all season. One of the players that has however caught the attention of big European clubs is Florian Wirtz. Former NBA All-Star, Blake Griffin has announced retirement from Basketball.
After 14 seasons, Blake Griffin has announced his retirement from basketball. The first overall pick in the 2009 NBA draft pick, playing several seasons with the LA Clippers and also the Detroit Pistons, Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets. He was a six-time NBA All Star and the 2011 dunk contest champion. Making this announcement via his social media account, Griffin reflected on his career, expressing his appreciation for every moment he experienced in the league, thanking his coaches, teammates, friends and fans for their constant support.
