Alonso to stay at Bayer Leverkusen next season amid multiple interests.

Xabi Alonso is on the verge of leading Bayer Leverkusen to its first ever Bundesliga title with an unbeaten record and a 13 point charge over second-placed Bayern Munich. This has attracted the likes of Liverpool and Bayern Munich, whose coaches are set to leave the clubs at the end of the season. Alonso has however communicated his decision to continue at Leverkusen next season, stating that he decided over the international holiday to remain, as he wishes to develop more as a coach and accomplish more goals with the club.


NBA fines Wembanyama for throwing the ball into spectators’ stand.

The San Antonio Spurs star, Victor Wembanyama has been officially fined $25,000 for throwing the ball into the Spectators’ stand after their 130-126 overtime win over the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Friday. This great match up saw Wembanyama and Jalen Brunson put up 40 and 61 points respectively. The Spurs secured the win, out scoring the Knicks by four in OT and a joyous Wembanyama threw the ball straight into the fans’ stand. Commenting on the fine, the 2023 NBA first overall draft pick stated that this was not triggered by any ill motive.


Liverpool reclaims top spot as Arsenal and Manchester City draw.

This Premier League title challenge is shaping up to be a thrilling one with three points differentiating the top three clubs. The title deciding clash between Manchester City and Arsenal this weekend was a major disappointment for PL supporters, as both sides failed to convert. With a 0-0 draw, Liverpool has now reclaimed top spot on the PL table, after comeback win over Brighton on Saturday. Klopp’s side are presently two points above Arsenal, three ahead of Pep’s Manchester City and will be looking to secure their second PL title under Jurgen Klopp.


OKC, Denver Nuggets and Wolves officially secure Playoff spots.

The top three seeds in the Western Conference, Oklahoma City Thunder, Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves have all officially secured their spots in the 2024 NBA playoffs. They have joined the Boston Celtics as the first four teams to secure their places ahead of the upcoming playoffs which is set to commence on April 20. Current NBA Champions, the Denver Nuggets will be looking to defend the title while young teams like OKC and the Timberwolves will also be willing to prove themselves as title contenders.


Jason Wilcox to join Manchester United as new technical director.

Manchester United has been going through a board overhaul since the INEOS/Jim Ratcliffe partial takeover. After announcing Omar Berrada as new club CEO, with Dan Ashworth’s contract as new Sporting Director pending, new reports are indicating that Manchester United will also sign Jason Wilcox as the club’s technical director. Wilcox was Southampton’s Director of Football before deciding to resign after Southampton rejected United’s offer to sign him. He will join the Manchester United project from next season as a key part of the new era.
