Everton’s ten-point deduction reduced to six after appeal.
Everton were sanctioned with a ten-point deduction for breaching the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR) by exceeding the £19.5 million loss limit over an assessment period that ended in the 2021-2022 season. This point deduction immediately put them in the relegation zone. Everton however decided to appeal the sanction which was concluded at the start of the month. The Premier League has now confirmed that Everton’s 10-point deduction will be reduced to 6, moving the team up to 15th on the league table with 25 points.
