Isaiah Thomas signs new contract with Phoenix Suns ahead of NBA playoffs.

Former Boston Celtics’ point guard, Isaiah Thomas has signed a new contract with the Phoenix Suns to remain with the franchise through the end of the season. The two-time All Star had earlier signed back to back 10-day contracts with the team from March 20th, playing four games and averaging 1.3 points and 0.5 assists per game. The veteran, who has played for numerous NBA teams including the Denver Nuggets, Sacramento Kings, LA Lakers, Dallas Mavericks and New Orleans Pelicans, is being tipped to be a very important piece for the Phoenix Suns in the NBA playoffs which is set to commence on April 17.


John Murtough steps down from Manchester United’s Directorial role.

Manchester United have confirmed that the club’s football director, John Murtough has stepped down from his role and has left the club after eleven years of service at a variety of roles with the club. Dan Ashworth, who is currently Newcastle’s sporting director will take over as United’s new director of football once the compensation is finalized with Newcastle. As promised, the INEOS continue working on building a new footballing structure at Old Trafford, giving fans great reassurance as to the direction of the club.


Manchester United receive injury update as Tyrell Malacia returns to Carrington.

According to a new update around Carrington has just confirmed the return of injured left back, Tyrell Malacia after nearly nine months out. The Dutch international has not featured in any of Manchester United’s games this season, as he was reportedly out with a knee injury right before the club’s preseason tour. Malacia has however returned to the club’s training facility, where he will continue to work on his recovery with an external specialist while also traveling between Manchester, Barcelona and his home country, Netherlands until he is ready to join the team.

Veteran Point Guard, Jrue Holiday has committed to the Boston Celtics for the next four years in a huge $135 million extension. Traded from the Portland Trailblazers a few days after being included in the Milwaukee Bucks’ trade for Damian Lillard, Holiday has become a pivotal figure in the Celtics’ team. After securing the best NBA record this season, Holiday and the Celtics will be looking to replicate this form in hopes of winning the Championship this season.
