Harry Maguire gets new re-trial date for assault and bribery charges.

Manchester United’s defender, Harry Maguire was found guilty of assaulting a police, resisting arrest and attempted bribery during a family holiday in Greece in 2020 and was held by the police for two days before appearing in court. His retrial was expected to take place this month but a legal strike in Mykonos delayed the scheduled hearing. However, new reports have revealed that the long awaited retrial is not expected to take place until next year, as the hearing has been rescheduled to March 25, 2025.

Jadon Sancho not expected to return to Manchester United after Dortmund loan.

English winger, Jadon Sancho will have his Manchester United career cut short after issues with coach, Erik ten Hag reaching the climax. The Manchester United coach had criticized Sancho’s training antics, which he implied was a lie on social media. Both parties failed to reach a resolution, leading up to Sancho being left out of the team and loaned out to Dortmund. Inside sources from the club have however confirmed that Sancho’s career at United has ended regardless of ten Hag’s future, as he is not expected to return to the club after his loan stint with Borussia Dortmund. Manchester United will be looking to cash in on him during the summer transfer.

With Kylian Mbappe set to leave for Real Madrid next summer, Ligue 1 giant, Paris Saint Germán wants to recall former club talent, Xavi Simons. Simons was immense in PSV’s title win in 2023, winning the Eredivisie top scorer award. Despite signing a new four-year deal with the French giant, he was instantly loaned out to Bundesliga side, RB Leipzig, where he has continued to thrive. Together with young midfielder, Warren Zaïre-Emery, PSG will be looking to secure a rebuild with Simon.

Thomas Tuchel set to part ways with Bayern Munich at the end of the season.

Bayern Munich has undergone a stretch of bad games this season, with one foot out of the Champions League tournament after 1-0 defeat to Lazio and presently eight points off league leaders, Bayer Leverkusen. These run of results have clouded Tuchel’s chances, with numerous speculations suggesting that he would be sacked after the disappointing 3-0 loss to Leverkusen. However, new reports emerging from Germany have indicated that the club’s management and Tuchel’s entourage did indulge in a fair discussion where both parties agreed to part ways at the end of the season. The official announcement would be made soon.

Argentina defeated France to win the 2022 World Cup after a series of heart breaking tournaments and most Argentinians have been vocal about Lionel Messi being the major motivation in the tournament. In Messi’s new Apple TV documentary, Aston Villa and Argentina goalkeeper, Emiliano Martinez has revealed that Messi is Argentina’s leader and being surrounded by fighters who are willing to back him, even on bad days is the major difference between the past and present Argentinian teams.
