Broja set to part ways with Chelsea after underwhelming loan spell.

Albanian forward, Armando Broja is set to leave Chelsea at the end of the season. The 22 year-old who is presently on loan at Fulham, has failed to secure his spot in the London club, scoring only 2 goals this season. Securing a loan move to Fulham in the January transfer window, Broja has experienced an underwhelming spell, playing only 58 minutes for the club. However, Chelsea are prepared to sell the striker permanently after his loan spell expires. Broja has attracted interests from many clubs across Europe and the London club will be willing to lower their €50 million asking price.


Borussia Dortmund stuns PSG, qualify for Champions League final.

Huge surprise as underdogs, Borussia Dortmund beat Paris Saint Germain to qualify for the Champions League finals. Matt Hummels, who scored the goal in Dortmund’s first leg win, came up clutch again at the Parc des Princes, heading home the ball in the 50th minute to send the Bundesliga giant to the Champions League final. Mbappe and PSG have ended yet another CL run with a heartbreak. Dortmund will face the winner of the Bayern Munich versus Real Madrid clash at Wembley on May 1st.


Luis Suárez hits 500 career goals, celebrates with an emotional video.

Former Barcelona and Liverpool striker, Luis Suárez has officially joined a league of football legends to have scored 500 career goals. The Uruguayan scored a hattrick in Inter Miami’s 6-2 win against New York RB. With 500 goals in 815 total games and 8 different clubs, he joins Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Robert Lewandowski as the fourth active player to attain this milestone. Celebrating this mark, Suárez posted an emotional video of him across all the different clubs he has played for. Players and fans have taken to social media to send loads of congratulatory messages to him.


Rudy Gobert wins the 2023/24 NBA defensive player of the year award.

The Minnesota Timberwolves’ centre, Rudy Gobert has emerged as the winner of the 2023/24 NBA Defensive player of the year award. Gobert, who was a 3-time defensive player of the year recipient during his time at Utah Jazz, led the Timberwolves to having one of the best defensive records in the league. He earned 72 first place votes and 433 total votes to clinch the award over Victor Wembanyama and Bam Adebayo. With this win, Gobert makes history, as he joins hall of famers, Ben Wallace and Dikembe Mutombo as the only players to ever win the defensive player of the year award four times.


Boston Celtics and Oklahoma City Thunder win in Playoff semifinals.

The second round of the NBA playoffs is now underway. The Boston Celtics have taken a 1-0 lead in the Eastern Conference semifinals series, beating Cleveland Cavaliers 120-95. Jaylen Brown led the Celtics to an important home victory with 32 points. Cavaliers’ star, Donovan Mitchell also balled out but his 33 points and 5 assists were not enough to give his team a fighting chance. Boston will be hoping to win this series and secure their third consecutive Eastern Conference finals. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander recorded a near triple double (29 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists) to lead the young Oklahoma City Thunder team to a 117-95 win over Dallas Mavericks to take a 1-0 lead in the series. Mavericks’ star, Luka Dončić witnessed one of his worst shooting nights, scoring only 19 points. The game 2 will be held on May 9th.
