The Hi-Tech Integrated Railway Monitoring System (HIRMS) is a state-of-the-art monitoring system that will soon be deployed in the Lagos – Ibadan railway, Abuja – Kaduna railway and Warri – Itakpe railway. The system is designed to improve safety by providing real-time monitoring of railway infrastructure and train operations. HIRMS consists of a network of sensors and cameras that are installed along the railway track. The sensors collect data on track conditions, while the cameras provide live video footage of train operations. This data is transmitted to a central control room, where it is used to monitor the railway infrastructure and train operations in real time.
