Manchester City edges closer to historic Premier League title win.

Defending Champions, Manchester City defeated Tottenham 2-0 on Tuesday evening and are now one game away from winning their fourth consecutive Premier League title. After a tough first half for both sides, Pep Guardiola’s men came out with more intent in the second half. Erling Haaland converted Kevin De Bruyne’s beautiful cross to give City the lead in the 51st minute before doubling the score in the 91st minute with a penalty. However, it was Stefan Ortega’s saves down the line that really helped Manchester City wrap up the crucial win to reclaim the top spot on the PL table. They now go 2 points above Arsenal with just one game left to play. Manchester City will be the first ever PL team to win the league four consecutive times if they defeat West Ham on Sunday.

Manchester United considering Kieran McKenna to become new manager.

Erik ten Hag has led Manchester United to perhaps their worst season in the club’s history. With 14 league losses and a negative goal difference, reports suggest that INEOS might be considering sacking the Dutchman. Former coaching staff, Kieran McKenna is in contention to take up the coaching role at Old Trafford next season. Within 2 seasons, McKenna has helped Ipswich Town gain promotion from League One to the Premier League while playing beautiful football. Ipswich was one point away from winning the Championship this season and have now been promoted to the Premier League for the first time in 22 years, all thanks to McKenna. While some fans think he would be the perfect figure for United’s rebuild, others believe it would be beneficial to earn PL experience first.
