Former Super Eagles captain, John Mikel Obi has narrated his ordeal with family entitlement after being successful. In an interview with Rio Ferdinand, the Ex-Chelsea midfielder explained how African families often become entitled when an African player becomes successful. He explained how his extended families, who continue to have so many children, continued to demand more from his wealth, even after he had put them on with huge opportunities. He further disclosed that some have even threatened to go to the press anytime he rejected their demands. Everton gets 10 point deduction for breach of PL profit and sustainable rules.
Everton has been handed a 10-point deduction with immediate effect after admitting to breaching the premier league’s profit and sustainability rules during a five-day hearing. The PL independent commission revealed that Everton’s PSR calculation resulted in a £124.5 million loss, exceeding the permitted £105 million amount. The 10-point deduction, which now puts Everton in the relegation zone, is the heaviest punishment in the league’s history to date and while the management have expressed their disappointment at the severity of the punishment, they have vowed to appeal the case.

Victor Osimhen makes final list for CAF Player of the Year (Male) award.
Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen has now made the final list of nominees for the 2023 CAF Player of the year award (male category) which was announced on Friday. With a phenomenal season with Napoli, Osimhen spearheaded Napoli’s first league title in 29 years, scoring 26 goals and also winning the Serie A golden boot.
