Childish Gambino announces his New World Tour ahead of the summer.

After previewing new collaborations with Ye and Kid Cudi, American singer and actor, Childish Gambino has announced that he would be going on tour again. Debuting the second episode of GILGA Radio, he announced that he would be going on tour for the first time since his “This is America tour” in 2018. Immediately after the announcement, a link to the tour’s website was put up on his Instagram page. Although no arena or dates have been announced yet, the tour is expected to still kickstart this summer.

Ice Prince announces his fourth album, “Fire and Ice” will be released soon.

After going hiatus for a while, Nigerian star rapper, Ice Prince is set to make a comeback with a new studio album. The rapper made his way to fans’ hearts with his fancy rap style, with hit songs like “Oleku” and “Aboki”. The project, titled “Fire and Ice” is set to be released on May 3 and while there are no doubts about Ice Prince’s ability, fans are expecting collaborations with some of the country’s heavyweights.

Nollywood star, Toyin Abraham has taken to her Instagram page to express huge appreciation to colleague, Funke Akindele for inspiring her and many other actresses in the Nollywood industry. The “Ijakumo” producer revealed that before, the industry was filled with animosity due to the huge competitiveness among the actors to claim the top spot. She however thanked Funke Akindele for showing that competition should not brew animosity, while also congratulating her for “A Tribe of Judah” grossing over one billion in the box office.

Nigeria Fuji singer, Remi Aluko has given huge credit to Wizkid for heralding major changes within the Nigerian music industry. Willis has been monumental to the Afrobeats genre, one of the figures that has given the genre global acclaim. In an interview with Remi on Echo Room, the Fuji singer explained that Wizkid changed the music method into a more appealing style with huge replay values. Many Afrobeats artists are taking huge strides in the global scene right now but Wizkid’s imprint on the genre will always be revered.

Music enthusiast and David’s manager, Asa Asika has been one of the biggest propellers of the business side of Nigerian music. The talent manager has heralded many cultural moves to further push the genre like The Plug and The Block Party series. In a new interview, Asa debunked the notion that the big leagues of the Afrobeats genre do not collaborate with each other. Citing many stars who have worked together, Asa noted that local collaborations have been one of the biggest contributors of African music to global success.
