Blue Ivy to star in new Lion King prequel, “Mufasa: The Lion King”.
A prequel for Barry Jerkins’ acclaimed “Lion King” is set to be released soon. While Donald Glover and Beyoncé will maintain their roles as Simba and Nala in the upcoming prequel, Beyoncé and Jay Z’s daughter, Blue Ivy Carter will be joining as the voice of Kiara, the daughter of King Simba and Queen Nala. This upcoming release will explore the origin story of Mufasa, as well as his childhood experiences with his brother, Scar. It will include live-action filmmaking and photoreal computer-generated images.

Nigerian music superstar, Ayra Starr is gearing up for the release of her sophomore album. In a new interview, she has just revealed that the project which is titled, “The Year I Turn 21” will feature appearances from Nigerian hitmakers like Asake, Seyi Vibez and global artists including Giveon and Anitta. This highly anticipated album which will also include already released hit songs such as “Comma” and “Rhythm and Blues” will be released in May 2024.

Jamaican singer and songwriter, Shenseea has just released the official track list for her upcoming album, “Never Gets Late Here”. The project which is scheduled for release on May 24 is a 14-tracked album with collaborations from American hip hop sensation, Coi Leray, Masicka, Di Genius, Anitta and Africa’s leading star, Wizkid.
