Director Kevin Williamson confirms Scream 7 has officially commenced filming.
Coming off a quite problematic pre-production process, Scream 7 has officially started filming, with director Kevin Williamson sharing the news along with the first set photo. Williamson, who wrote the original Scream (1996) directed by Wes Craven, marked his first day on set with an emotional Instagram post. Critics Choice Awards postponed due to the Los Angeles wildfire.
Due to devastating fires in the Los Angeles area, the Critics Choice Awards, originally scheduled for January 12 in Santa Monica, has been postponed to January 26. Joey Berlin, CEO of the Critics Choice Association, stated, “Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected by the fires and the brave individuals battling them.” The event will remain at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, broadcasting live on E! and streaming on Peacock the following day. The fires have disrupted numerous Hollywood events, including the SAG Awards nomination announcement, which was shifted to a press release. Other postponed or canceled events include the AFI Awards luncheon, BAFTA Tea Party, and AARP Movies for Grownups Awards.
