Veteran Nigerian actor, Mr. Ibu has taken to social media to solicit help and prayers from Nigerians as he battles a critical health condition that might cause an amputation of his leg. The renowned Nollywood actor revealed that he had been in the hospital for several weeks and that the doctors might resort to cutting off his leg if other options are exhausted. Since the publication of this video, other Nollywood actors and well meaning Nigerians have expressed their sympathies and well wishes to the legend.

Brazil star, Neymar was in tears after sustaining a potentially serious knee injury in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers clash against Uruguay. OGC Nice suspends Youcef Atal for post on the ongoing war in Gaza.
The ongoing Gaza war has witnessed the deaths of thousands of innocent citizens and players are being suspended for airing their opinions on the issue. After Mainz suspended Nawal El Ghazi, Youcef Atal is the latest to be suspended by OGC Nice until further notice for making a social media post regarding the Israel-Hamas war. Whilst on international duty with Algeria, the defender shared a post from Palestine preacher, Mahmoud al-Hasanat, asking for God to send the Jewish people a dark day. The post was immediately deleted and Atal penned an apology, saying that he would never support hate messages.

James Harden makes unexcused absence from Sixers camp amid trade request.
Since requesting a trade away from the Philadelphia 76ers, James Harden has made the situation really uncomfortable for the franchise. In an exploded drama with the general manager, Darryl Morey during the off season, James Harden called Morey a liar and promised never to play for his team again. New reports have now revealed that the point guard did not show up at the training camp on Wednesday.
