In a new video, a fan suggested a song about the current state of Nigeria, which he and his fans wrote on. It is unsure if or when this song will also be released. However, it is beautiful to see an artist create a huge bond like this with their fans.

Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s “Carnival” debuts at #2 on Billboard Global 200.

“Carnival” off Kanye and Ty Dolla Sign’s “Vultures” album has been one of the biggest songs locally since the joint album was released. The songs which also feature uncredited vocals from Rich the Kid and Playboi Carti has peaked at number one on the US Apple Music chart and is receiving over 4 million daily streams to stay atop of the Spotify chart. The song has now debuted at number 2 on the Billboard Global 200 chart with over 45 million streams globally. This is the highest career entry for both artistes on the chart.

Drake’s “One Dance” surpasses three billion streams on Spotify.

Global hit, “One Dance” by Drake, featuring Wizkid and Kyla has just surpassed 3 billion streams on Spotify. The song which comes off his 2016 album, “Views” was the first ever single to hit one billion streams on the streaming platform and has gone on to be the most streamed song of all artistes involved. With three billion streams, the song has now joined records like “As It Was”, “Shape of You” and The Weeknd’s “Blinding Light” in the exclusive list of seven songs to have surpassed this milestone.

Beyoncé becomes first black woman to debut #1 on hot country songs chart.

Ahead of her “Renaissance: Act II”, Beyoncé is set to experiment in the country genre, sparking lots of opinions on social media. Her new single, “Texas Hold ‘Em” has however been one of the most streamed songs since its release last Sunday. The track, which has maintained a top 5 spot across the US Apple Music, Spotify and iTunes charts, have just debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot Country songs chart, making Beyoncé the first black female artist to hit this milestone on the chart.

After his successful album, “Tio Tequila” and American tour, Afropop artist, Adekunle Gold is set to thrill fans with a new single, “The Life I Chose”. With a groovy wave, the track well projects Gold’s life and choices from the birth of his career till this present moment.
