T’Challa reportedly set to be re-casted for the new Avengers and Black Panther films.
Marvel Studios may be preparing to recast T’Challa/Black Panther, four years after Chadwick Boseman’s passing. Boseman, who portrayed the iconic Wakandan hero from 2016 to 2019, died in 2020 at age 43 following a private battle with colon cancer. His death left a profound impact on Hollywood, prompting Marvel to honor him with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The sequel celebrated Boseman’s legacy while introducing Shuri (Letitia Wright) as the new Black Panther, a decision widely regarded as respectful. However, a new report from insider, Jeff Sneider suggests Marvel is now considering recasting T’Challa, leaving “the door firmly open” for another actor to take on the role. This potential move could signal a return of the character to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. If confirmed, official announcements from Marvel Studios are expected soon, sparking renewed debate among fans.

American Psycho author reveals that rumours of a remake is fake news.
Rumors of a remake of the Hollywood classic American Psycho have been debunked by the original writer, Bret Easton Ellis. Speaking on The Bret Easton Ellis Podcast, the author dismissed claims that Austin Butler had signed on to play Patrick Bateman in a new adaptation, calling the reports “fake news.” “I heard from various sources that there are no contracts. Austin Butler hasn’t signed anything, Luca Guadagnino doesn’t have a deal, and neither does Scott Burns, who was rumored to write the screenplay,” Ellis revealed. He suggested the rumors were a marketing strategy to gauge public interest. Ellis also clarified he has no creative involvement in the project. The initial report, published by Variety in December 2024, now appears questionable, with insider Jeff Sneider hinting it was more about boosting Lionsgate’s appeal as an acquisition target than a legitimate film project.

Unstoppable and Wolf Man premieres cancelled due to the Pacific Palisades wildfire.
Devastating wildfires in Southern California have forced the cancellation of two high-profile Los Angeles premieres. Amazon MGM Studios and Universal Studios announced Tuesday that premieres for Unstoppable and Wolf Man were canceled due to safety concerns and evacuations caused by the Pacific Palisades wildfire. The wildfire, which began spreading Tuesday morning, has consumed over 1,200 acres of dry vegetation, forcing evacuations and threatening buildings. Wind gusts of up to 80 mph, with isolated areas experiencing 100 mph, have worsened the situation, prompting warnings from the National Weather Service.
