Premier League side, Crystal Palace are set to sack Roy Hodgson after one year of appointing him to replace Patrick Vieira. Crystal Palace are presently 15th on the PL table, five points off the relegation zone, winning just three of their last nineteen games. The club has also announced that former Eintracht Frankfurt head coach, Oliver Glasner will be appointed as the new club manager on a two year contract. Glasner, who won the Europa League for Frankfurt has been out of a job since leaving Frankfurt last year and will be looking to make an immediate impact at the club.


Real Madrid believe that Luka Modrić’s time at the club is drawing to an end.

2020 Ballon d’Or winner, Luka Modrić has reportedly grown frustrated with his lack of playing time this season but has decided to be quiet about it, so that it does not affect the club’s title chances. However, new reports from Madrid are suggesting that Real Madrid are also considering Modrić at the end of his career with the club, indicating a possible move at the end of the season. The Croatian midfielder spent twelve years at the club, winning multiple league cups, Champions Leagues, Copa Del Rey and other notable trophies.


Nigeria moves up 14 places to 28th in new FIFA World ranking.

Despite the heart breaking final loss in the 2023 African Cup of Nations to Côte d’Ivoire, the Nigerian Super Eagles proved their place as one of the best teams in Africa. In the latest FIFA rankings, Nigeria has moved 14 places up to 28th in the World and third in Africa. Only Morocco (12th) and Senegal (17th) are ahead of Nigeria in the new world ranking. The Super Eagles will be looking to further improve in the coming World Cup qualifiers.
