Cape Verde booked its place in the quarter final of the African Cup of Nations, beating Mauritania 1-0. Italian striker, Moise Kean was set to sign for La Liga giant, Atletico Madrid on loan but the striker’s dream for a new start away from Italy looks to have been shattered. According to reports, Atletico Madrid decided to terminate the potential transfer, after assessing his fitness status. Kean, who reportedly failed the medical tests, suffered an hamstring injury in December and has yet to regain full fitness. He will now return back to Juventus where he will continue his recovery.

Marcus Rashford’s future at risk as INEOS want to implement new culture.
With the new ownership at Manchester United, changes are being made across the footballing landscape of the club to propel it back to its spot as the biggest club in England. Star forward, Marcus Rashford is the latest to receive internal disciplinary actions for alleged misconduct and new reports are suggesting that the England forward’s future is at risk, with the INEOS board willing to implement new disciplinary culture in the club. Rashford has attracted the interest of some of Europe’s biggest clubs and it remains unclear whether the club will decide to move on from him in the summer.
