Rasmus Højlund makes premier league history with brace versus Luton.

Manchester United’s striker, Rasmus Højlund has started 2024 with a bang, scoring in every game he has played this year. After a 14-game streak without a PL goal, his redemption arc against Aston Villa in late December seems to have carried on, as he has now scored in 6 consecutive PL games. In the clash against Luton at the Kenilworth Road, Højlund scored a brace in the opening ten minutes of the game to give United a much needed 2-1 win. He is now the youngest player to score in six consecutive PL games. Manchester United are presently five points off the top four and will be looking to cut the margin as they face Fulham next weekend.


Damian Lillard clinches back-to-back 3-point shooting title.

Milwaukee Bucks’ star, Damian Lillard has defended his NBA All-Star 3-point title, beating off the likes of Karl Anthony-Towns, Malik Beasley, Lauri Markkanen, Jalen Brunson, Donovan Mitchell, Tyrese Haliburton and Trae Young. Whilst all of the eight contestants finished with 20+ points, a tiebreaker between Lillard, Anthony-Towns, Trae and Haliburton, in which Lillard won. Lillard etches his name in the All-Star history books as the first contestant to win back to back 3-points contest in the last 16 years.


Salah joins list of PL players with most goals & assists in single matches.

Mohamed Salah is inarguably one of the biggest achievers in the Premier league history. The Liverpool forward has been breaking records consistently since his move to Liverpool in 2017. Securing a goal and assist in Liverpool’s 4-1 win against Brentford, the three-time PL Golden Boot winner registered a goal and an assist, his thirtieth in the Premier League and this puts him in an exclusive list of players with most games with a goal and assist in the premier league. Only Wayne Rooney (36), Thierry Henry (32), Alan Shearer (31) have more than the Liverpool talisman.


Mac McClung wins back to back NBA All-star slam dunk contest.

G-League Osceola Magic’s star, Mac McClung has yet again won the NBA All-Star Slam Dunk contest in Indianapolis. Despite spending most of his career in the G-League with just four NBA appearances, he has continued to showcase his talent at the highest level. He beat Boston Celtics star, Jaylen Brown, Jacob Toppin and Miami Heat’s rookie, Jaime Jaquez Jr. to win back to back dunk contest. He thrilled fans, dunking over 7 foot 1 Shaquille O’Neal on his final dunk of the night, securing a 98.8 score to win the contest.
