Tiger Woods officially parts ways with Nike after 28 years.
After nearly three decades of legendary partnership, sports apparel brand, Nike have now parted ways with Gold legend, Tiger Woods. Nike signed Woods when he was 20 years old, helping him develop his signature TW logo. Despite the terrible accident suffered by the Golfer in 2021 and Nike exiting the production of golf equipment, they still created Woods’ trademark red polo. Announcing their separation on social media, Nike posted a photo of Woods with the caption, “It was a hell of a round, Tiger”. Woods also thanked the brand’s former CEO, Phil Knight, Nike employees and other signed athletes for the memories, whilst hinting at a new apparel deal to be announced later.

Ivan Toney promises to surprise doubters ahead of PL return.
Brentford striker, Ivan Toney was suspended from footballing activities for eight months by the Premier League Footballing Association after pleading guilty to breaching betting rules back in May. Ahead of his imminent return, many fans have expressed major doubts as to whether he can still play at a high grade. In an exclusive interview with Sky Sports, the English striker has however stated his desire to scale the huge expectations set for him, as he promises to make the doubters eat their words. Toney will return to professional football on January 17 , ahead of Brentford’s clash with West Ham.

Alexander-Arnold sustains knee injury, set to be sidelined for weeks.
Talented Liverpool fullback, Trent Alexander-Arnold is confirmed to have a minor knee ligament tear during Liverpool’s FA cup win over Arsenal and is set to be ruled out for at least three weeks, missing the first round of the Carabao Cup semi-final clash against Fulham. Trent has immersed himself in Klopp’s team as one of the most important players, especially with his creative output in the hybrid right-back/midfield positions. Ja Morant set to undergo a season-ending surgery after a Labrum tear.
Memphis Grizzlies Ja Morant’s season is practically over weeks after returning to the team. On Monday, the Grizzlies announced that the NBA All Star player sustained a Labrum injury in his right shoulder during practice and will now undergo a season-ending surgery to repair the tear. Morant had missed 25 games already due to a lengthy suspension for violent conduct, by displaying a gun on an Instagram live. Since his return, the Grizzlies enjoyed a 6-3 run, with Morant averaging 25 points per game. The Memphis Grizzlies have won 7 games and lost 20 without Morant this season and this injury will further add to the team’s woes.
