Tiger Woods officially parts ways with Nike after 28 years.
After nearly three decades of legendary partnership, sports apparel brand, Nike have now parted ways with Gold legend, Tiger Woods. Nike signed Woods when he was 20 years old, helping him develop his signature TW logo. Despite the terrible accident suffered by the Golfer in 2021 and Nike exiting the production of golf equipment, they still created Woods’ Trademark red polo. Announcing their separation on social media, Nike posted a photo of Woods with the caption, “It was a hell of a round, Tiger”. Woods also thanked the brand’s former CEO, Phil Knight, Nike employees and other signed athletes for the memories, whilst hinting at a new apparel deal to be announced later.
