Chelsea’s request to sell hotels to a sister company approved by the PL.

The Premier League has approved Chelsea’s sale of two hotels to an affiliated company. In June 2023, Chelsea FC Holdings Ltd sold the Millennium and Copthorne hotels to BlueCo 22 Properties Ltd, both owned by BlueCo 22 Ltd, Chelsea’s holding company. The sale brought in £76.5 million, reducing Chelsea’s loss for the 2022/2023 financial year to £89.9 million instead of the £166.4 million it would have been without the sale. According to Premier League financial regulations, clubs are allowed a maximum loss of £105 million over a rolling three-year period. The league cleared the transaction after determining it was conducted at fair market value, meaning the deal met its financial rules.
