Como has agreed to a deal to sign Dele Alli with immediate effect.
Former Tottenham player, Dele Alli is set to sign a contract with Serie A side Como on Sunday, extending until the end of the 2025-26 season, with an option for further extension based on appearances. The 28-year-old midfielder, who has struggled with injuries and last played competitively in February 2023 for Besiktas, has been training with Como since December. After a disappointing spell at Everton, where he made only 13 appearances before being released in the summer, Alli is looking to revive his career. Arsenal drops 2 points as Aston Villa’s comeback forces a draw.
Aston Villa staged a dramatic comeback to earn a 2-2 draw against Arsenal on Saturday. After Arsenal surged ahead with goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz, Villa fought back with strikes from Youri Tielemans and Ollie Watkins. Arsenal had an early chance from Thomas Partey, but his shot sailed over the bar. Martinelli broke the deadlock in the 34th minute, followed by Havertz’s goal from a Trossard assist. Villa responded when Tielemans scored from a Lucas Digne cross, and he nearly equalized moments later but hit the post. Villa’s persistence paid off in the 68th minute when Watkins found space to score the equalizer. Arsenal thought they’d won with a goal from Mikel Merino, but VAR ruled it out for a handball by Havertz. Villa held firm for a valuable point, leaving Arsenal six points behind Liverpool.

Hansi Flick’s men fail to secure a win against Getafe despite an early goal.
Barcelona’s attacking prowess faltered as they were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw at Getafe, continuing their poor La Liga form. The Blaugrana had won their previous two matches convincingly in the Super Cup and Copa del Rey but struggled to find their rhythm in the league. Jules Koundé gave them a ninth-minute lead, scoring at the second attempt, but Raphinha squandered a chance to double the lead shortly after. Getafe responded when Mauro Arambarri capitalized on a loose ball from Iñaki Peña’s save, scoring the equalizer in the 34th minute. Lewandowski also missed a chance before the break, and despite Frenkie de Jong’s effort forcing a save from Getafe keeper David Soria, Barcelona failed to reclaim the lead. The result means they’ve won just one of their last eight league matches, missing the chance to capitalize on Atletico Madrid’s defeat.

Dortmund plans a new contact with Man United to secure Rashford’s move.
Bundesliga side, Borussia Dortmund is intensifying its pursuit of Marcus Rashford, with club leaders Sebastian Kehl and Nuri Şahin taking active steps to sign the Manchester United forward. Fresh talks have been held, and Dortmund is now aiming for a loan deal. This move follows Dortmund’s disappointing 3-2 loss to Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that more discussions are expected in the coming days, with Barcelona also expressing interest in the England international. Rashford, who has fallen out of favor at Old Trafford due to poor form, looks increasingly likely to leave Manchester United this January. While AC Milan is focused on signing Kyle Walker, Dortmund is seen as the front-runner. Rashford’s potential move to Dortmund could provide him with a fresh start, similar to Jadon Sancho’s successful loan spell, allowing him to regain his best form.
