On the other hand, UBEC is diligently working on an extensive digital transformation initiative to upgrade the school system through advanced technology. This effort has led to the creation of exemplary smart schools in the 36 federation states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. These institutions function as centres for incorporating modern technology within classrooms, contributing to a more dynamic and stimulating learning environment for students. Creating these smart schools is essential to their plan to align the nation’s institutional framework with worldwide progress in digital learning.
However, incorporating advanced technology is intended to enhance learning results by facilitating greater accessibility, efficiency, and responsiveness to the demands of the digital era. The commission’s initiatives contribute to a broader movement to transform academics, ensuring learners acquire the competencies and understanding essential for success in a progressively digital landscape. Their dedication to tech-enhanced learning goes beyond adding modern classroom devices or platforms; it fosters a space where learners can engage in dynamic, creative ways and prepare for upcoming challenges. By leading research projects and leveraging the teamwork of its committee members, they are establishing the groundwork for a more intelligent, interconnected education system nationwide.
