Pedro Neto set to make €63 million move to Chelsea from Wolves.

Portuguese winger, Neto is poised to leave Wolves for Chelsea, with negotiations at an advanced stage. The 24-year-old international is set to join the Blues for £54m (€63m) and will soon undergo a medical. Chelsea, eager to strengthen their squad with another winger, have prioritized Neto following his impressive season where he scored three goals and provided 11 assists in just 24 games. However, his frequent injuries, having missed 18 matches last season and a total of 102 games over the past four years, raise concerns. Neto will become Chelsea’s tenth signing of the summer, joining Tosin Adarabioyo, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Filip Jorgensen, Omari Kellyman, Aaron Anselmino, Renato Veiga, Caleb Wiley, and Marc Guiu. Currently, Chelsea is the Premier League’s biggest spender.

Pep Guardiola gives a condition for Manchester City signing this summer.

Following Julián Álvarez’s transfer to Atletico Madrid for up to £82 million, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has disclosed that a new striker would be signed. At a press conference before the Community Shield clash with Manchester United, he said, “We will see until the end of the market if we really need a striker to be a back-up for Erling… Erling is not going to play all the games with the schedule we have ahead of us, so you have to think about it”. He however emphasized that the Premier League champions will avoid paying excessive fees for new signings. Guardiola stated that City is willing to wait until the end of August to acquire a new midfielder but will not be pressured into paying inflated prices. With an abundance of talent in attacking positions, City’s current priority is a defensively skilled midfielder to complement Rodri. However, Pep Guardiola is prepared to not overpay for any of their transfer targets. Highlighting the club’s stance, Guardiola said, “If we need someone, the price must be right; otherwise, it’s not worth it.”
