Sha’Carri Richardson set to make her Olympics debut in Paris.
American Track and Field athlete, Sha’Carri Richardson was disqualified from competing in the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo after testing positive for marijuana. She is however on the trajectory to a much-needed redemption. Coming off victories in the United States and Budapest, the 24 year-old has just declared for the 100m and 200m at the Olympic trials and could make her debut in the competition in Paris later this year. If she qualifies, she will be on track to become the first American woman to win gold in the 100m since Florence Griffith-Joyner in 1988. The trials preliminary is set to commence on June 21 in Eugene, Oregon.
