The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), in partnership with Imose Technologies Ltd, an indigenous Nigerian company, has unveiled laptops and tablets manufactured in Nigeria. This unveiling of made-in Nigeria gadgets marks a turning point in the country’s technological environment, positioning the country not only as a consumer but also as a manufacturer in the tech ecosystem. This action aligns with the agency’s objective to support local content and indigenous industrialization in order to boost innovation, employment and revitalize the economy.
One of the first products to emerge from this collaboration is the NASENI Zedon X-Pro laptop, a 14-inch display and Core i5 processor, which combine mobility, power, and usefulness to make it a desirable option for a variety of users in need of a dependable laptop on-the-go. Also, the 10.5-inch tablet is a great option for a variety of use cases, including document editing, drawing, streaming videos, and gaming, as it balances mobility with functionality. Khalil Suleiman Halilu, executive vice chairman and CEO of NASENI explained that the collaboration is “a strategic move which aligns with the Agency’s 3Cs principles of Collaboration, Creation, and Commercialization to work with like minds.”
