MTN Nigeria aids literacy with 4,600 tablets

One of the prominent telecom providers in Africa, MTN Nigeria, has announced that it will be donating 4,600 tablets pre-installed with the innovative uLesson app, a Digital Learning platform created to raise the standard of learning for Nigerian students to the federal government. Secondary schools across the nation’s six geopolitical zones will receive these devices. The program, which is being managed by the Office of the National Security Advisor and the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment, highlights the Nigerian government’s dedication to improving the youths’ Digital Literacy and education.

To set out beneficiary criteria and guarantee a smooth distribution procedure, the Vice President of Nigeria has affirmed that his office will collaborate closely with the MTN team. uLesson Education Limited designed the uLesson app, which provides an extensive course of study adapted to the Nigerian educational system. It covers topics including STEM, business, and the arts and humanities and consists of video lectures, tests, and interactive projects. The pre-installed contents on the devices are made in accordance with the national curriculum, so students can use them to enhance their education outside of the classroom.

Ndukwe recently announced a Donation of one billion naira, which further demonstrates MTN Nigeria’s dedication to this program. The funding is intended to ensure an all inclusive digital revolution by providing help to the most marginalized, neglected, and vulnerable areas across the country.
