Mali score two in six minutes to defeat South Africa in AFCON.
Hamari Traore and Lassine Sinayoko struck home second half chances to give Mali a major advantage over South Africa in the Group E match of AFCON 2024. South Africa’s Percy Tau blew the Bafana Bafana’s opportunity to take a lead after losing a 19th minute penalty before Hamari Traore broke the dreadlock in the 60th minute. Six minutes later, Lassine Sinayoko doubled the lead, shrugging off two defenders to score from close range. Mali will face Tunisia next, hoping to keep their hope of a Ro16 qualification alive.
