Up to date news across the NBA, TNT, Wan Bissaka, Bordeaux, and Victor Roque.

TNT Sports have vowed to take legal action against the NBA.

The NBA is set to end its 34-year partnership with TNT next season, choosing Amazon Prime’s bid over the cable network’s matching offer. This decision has prompted Warner Bros Discovery, TNT’s parent company, to push back and threaten legal action against the NBA. According to TNT Sports, their contract with the NBA includes a clause that requires any competing bidder to withdraw if the current rights holder matches their offer. TNT claims Amazon failed to honour this clause. In a statement, Warner Bros Discovery criticized the NBA for rejecting the loyal fan base of their long-standing coverage. They stated, “We think they have grossly misinterpreted our contractual rights with respect to the 2025-26 season and beyond, and we will take appropriate action.” Despite the dispute, they look forward to continuing their coverage of the NBA on TNT and Max for the upcoming season, including their iconic show, *Inside the NBA*.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka rejects West Ham’s bid in favour of a move to Inter Milan.

Manchester United defender, Aaron Wan-Bissaka has rejected a bid from West Ham and is reportedly interested in signing with Serie A champions Inter Milan. United is open to selling the 26-year-old defender this summer and is asking for a £15 million fee, which West Ham had agreed to pay. However, Wan-Bissaka prefers a move to Inter Milan. In response, West Ham has shifted their attention to Bayern Munich full-back Noussair Mazraoui. The Moroccan defender is also on Manchester United’s radar, but any potential transfer depends on Wan-Bissaka’s departure. If a deal with Inter Milan cannot be reached this summer, Wan-Bissaka is willing to wait until next year to join them on a free transfer.

French club, Bordeaux to give up their professional status as a club.

Bordeaux has relinquished its professional status after being administratively relegated from French soccer’s second tier earlier this week, as reported by Sud Ouest. The six-time French champions were dropped to the semi-professional third tier following the collapse of a takeover bid by Fenway Sports Group, the owners of Liverpool. Bordeaux has informed the French Football Federation (FFF) of their decision to abandon their professional status, which they have maintained since 1937. As a result, all professional players at the club will be released once their contracts expire. An audition will be conducted by the Championnat National to determine if the club’s budget will be approved, a decision that will significantly impact Bordeaux’s future in French football.

Saudi club, Al-Hilal show interest for Barcelona striker, Victor Roque.

Brazilian striker Victor Roque has struggled to establish himself at Barcelona since joining the club in January and is now set to depart. Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal is interested in signing the forward ahead of the new season. Reports suggest that Barcelona officials have already approved the move but are waiting for Roque to agree to the transfer. Roque prefers to remain in Europe, while Barcelona is eager to sell him to improve their finances. It’s unclear what will happen next, but Roque seems far from securing a spot in Barcelona’s starting XI at the moment.
